Young and Jackson is Melbourne’s most iconic hotel, located opposite the landmark steps of Flinders Street Station. Our pub keeps a watchful eye on the busiest part of Melbourne’s CBD, and looks over Federation Square on to the MCG and beyond.
A heritage listed building, having been established in 1861, Young and Jackson has been beautifully restored and refurbished over the years to bring together a blend of boutique bar and a traditional pub. Home to the infamous, Chloe, she is a Melbourne icon, mascot for the HMAS Melbourne, an extremely fine work of art; she is an ingénue, a nymph, a celebrity. She is Chloe, the famous nude portrait which has graced the walls of the Young and Jackson Hotel since 1909.
At our core, we’re dedicated to Melbourne, and all who visit. We’ve embedded ourselves in the community, and built strong relationships with suppliers and locals alike. We’re everything to expect from your traditional pub, with a modern take. We’re a meeting place, a destination, a local watering hole, a place for celebration and a place for romance. We’re a place for good people, to share good food with each other.
Chloe's Dining Room
Chloe's Dining Room is located on the first floor and offers casual dining with a unique perspective of the busy Melbourne streets below. Named “Chloe’s” after the infamous painting hung in the dining room, here we focus on Modern Australian cuisine with an emphasis placed on fresh local produce.
From our a la carte menu, you'll see an extensive shared plate selection, as well as a variety of larger plates to enjoy. If you’re in for lunch, we offer a set menu with a selection of mains to choose from. Kindly note, the pub menu is not available in Chloe’s.
Bookings are available online or by phone for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
BAR AND LOUNGE
Outside of our Chloe's Dining Room, you can settle down into one of our comfortable lounges or our bar, known to the thousands who pass by each day.
Here, you'll find delicious pub meals, juicy burgers and all the classics from your favourite local, it's pub food made easy.
Please note, we do not take bookings for the Bar & Lounge. Please walk in and grab a table!
FUNCTIONS
Whether it's a birthday celebration, an engagement party or a corporate event, our function spaces can be tailored to suit your style event and what you need. Our venue now also has the full capacity to host the ceremony and reception portion of your big day.
Based on the size of your event, our Private dining room, The Salon, Chloe's Restaurant, the entire floor & the Rooftop bar. Our dedicated and experienced function manager will make sure your event runs smoothly on the day.
